Added by Ofnir21The Ace Combat series is an arcade-like flight simulation franchise created and owned by Namco Bandai Games (previously Namco). The series uses real-life actual or prototype planes in their games. Currently, there are sixteen games released in the franchise. The series currently spans across the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation Portable (PSP), the iPhone and iPod Touch, the Game Boy Advance SP (GBA SP), the Nintendo 3DS (3DS), the PlayStation (PS1), the PlayStation 2 (PS2), the Namco 21/22 Arcade Systems and mobile phones.
Strangereal continuity

Originally, all games in the series except Air Combat (arcade) and Air Combat 22 were set in a constructed world named "Strangereal" (Apart from ). In 2011, following the release of Joint Assault, the series was rebooted to be set on modern Earth. Then the Strangereal continuity was instead retconned into the newly created United Galaxy Space Force series.
