Annex is the second campaign mission of Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War.

BriefingEdit

We must regain control over Route 171, which runs through Arlon, to secure a transit route for our ground troops. There are bridges over this route, three over the Aare River, all heavily guarded by the Belkan Armored Corps. Securing this route is critical to Ustio's attack on the Belkan Forces. Destroy the Belkan ground units blocking passage along this route and secure this supply line between our forces and the Osean Army.

ObjectivesEdit

This mission is mainly an air-to-ground attack mission; the purpose is to destroy all of the Belkan ground troops and anti-air units blocking the highway and preventing the Osean army from supplying Ustio's. There are three bridges, each progressively more difficult. The first one is guarded by a couple of tanks, nothing major. The second is guarded by a few more tanks, and the third is protected by numerous tanks and SAMs. There are also SAMs and AA guns along the route, along with some air units providing Belkan air superiority (no air units are required to be shot down). Once all TGTs are destroyed, the mission is a success.

Yellow TargetsEdit

Along this route, there are tons of houses and a few windmills. Pixy questions if they're part of the operation, but gets no response. It's up to the player on whether or not to destroy them. There are some SAMs using these yellow targets to their advantage, shooting at the player from inside a group of houses. As well as other missions, some air units become yellow targets when attacked.
