Trivia[]
- The missile's way of damaging its target by exploding in proximity is similar to how most real life air-to-air weapons work, in which they use proximity as its primary method to damage the target by sending out shrapnel against it.
- Additionally, this method first appeared for standard missiles in Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation.
- The model for the SASM in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown appears to be that of the AIM-132 ASRAAM[1]
