The Tu-95 Bear is a long-range strategic bomber manufactured by Tupolev. Manufactured during the Cold War, it was intended to serve as the Soviet counterpart of the B-52H Stratofortress.
It is equipped with a Machine Gun on its tail, allowing it to fire on any planes that come too close to its rear.
History[]
Strangereal[]
The Erusean Air Force is the only known operator of the Tu-95. During the Continental War, Erusea deployed six Tu-95s to bomb ISAF's Allenfort Air Base in their effort to remove the latter's last line of defense but all of them were shot down by Mobius 1.[1] Several more airframes were also stationed at Rigley Air Base which were later destroyed by the same pilot.[2]
Bears were later fielded by Erusea in the Lighthouse War to carry out bombing raids against the Osean Federation and the IUN. They were used on bombing raids on Fort Grays Island[3], 444th Air Base[4] and Osean-occupied Stonehenge.[5] One named squadron which operated the Tu-95 was Noli Squadron, an Erusean bomber unit which took part in the bombing of the 444th during Operation High Card.[4]
Assault Horizon Universe[]
The criminal syndicate Blatnoi used the Tu-95s during their attack on Dubai. They were all shot down by Warwolf Squadron with the assistance of other Task Force 108 squadrons. The last Tu-95 deployed used a civilian ID marker to fly deeper into Dubai's residential area but was ultimately discovered and shot down seconds before it was able to deploy its payload.[6]
Infinity Universe[]
The USEA Federation utilized the Tu-95 on multiple occasions. Some were spotted flying at high altitude above the Alps while another group was confirmed to have been deployed along the Troia Route.[7][8] They were then shot down by mercenaries of the United Nations Forces.
