- Difficulty: 10 (The hardest mission) On Ace, this mission seems impossible, but I still completed it, with the CFA-44 Prototype.
All together there are 41 operations. Difficulty is out of 10 (of course there just my opinions).
[edit] Tips and Infomation
The Strigon team don't have to be shot down in all the missions they appear in, but it does help if you do shoot there planes down e.g makes a mission easier, adds more points/credits, adds more planes to assault records. As there are 15 missions, there are 15 unlockable planes, but not unlocked right after each mission. To unlock the fifteenth and final plane,the CFA-44 Nosferatu, you must complete the campaign on Hard. To unlock the second colours of all planes except for the final plane, you must complete the whole campaign at least once. To unlock all the special colours of all planes, again except for the final plane, you'll have to shoot down the enemy named aircraft for that specific plane e.g if there is a named F-22 plane and you shoot it down, you'll unlock the special colour for that aircraft. All difficulties above Hard include the named aircraft. There is one named aircraft per mission. Note: this does not include the Strigon team. To unlock the final plane's second colour, you have to buy every plane and every colour of each plane, then play and finish a mission.To unlock the third colour scheme for the CFA-44, have all "S" ranks in all missions from Easy all away to Ace difficulty settings, earn all Operation Medals, have at least 15 Service Medals, have all Enemy Records, and have all allied Records. Although there aren't many missions, there're alot longer than other ace combat missions.

Below are a list of planes that can be unlocked in any difficulty. Simply defeat the mission listed for the corresponding planes.
- Default - F-16C Fighting Falcon
- Mission 4 - A-10A Thunderbolt II and Mirage 2000-5
- Mission 5 - Tornado GR4
- Mission 6 -F-14D Super Tomcat, F-2A and F/A-18F Super Hornet
- Mission 8 - Su-33 Flanker-D
- Mission 9 - F-15E Strike Eagle and Rafale M
- Mission 10 - F-117A Nighthawk
- Mission 12 - Typhoon
- Mission 13 - F-22A Raptor and Su-47 Berkut
But to unlock the CFA-44 Nosferatu, you must complete the campaign on hard.
[edit] Facts and opinions
Of all the big aerial battleships, the P-1112 'Aigaion' Aerial Aircraft Carrier seems to be the hardest, and longest battle. The Gleipnir didn't have enough wepons and the XB-0 Hresvelgr didn't even have any super wepons e.g cruise missiles. The 3 hardest squadrons I've faced are the Strigon Team, the Alect team from Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception and probably the team of Fenrir's from Ace Combat X. The Wizard team from Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War was really slick and good, but their first set of enemy planes weren't good enough. The Yellow squadron was good, but when it got to mission 18 in Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies, they were some-what easy (to me any way). Out of all the super fighters, the CFA-44 Nosferatu seems to be the hardest. Pixy inside the ADFX-01/02 Morgan was only good on the 2nd phase. Out of all the big ground fortresses, the Chandelier seems to be the hardest. It may not be the biggest fortress, but its the biggest ground super wepon. Out of everything, I'm not so sure about the hardest mission. The 2 hardest games I've played are Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation and Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception. Ace Combat Zero probably has more ace squadrons than any other game. Ace combat X is the only game with a few customisable planes e.g the ADF-01 Falken. The Aigaion is the only big aerial battleship with other medium sized battleships. The Gleipnnir is the only battleship with supirior stealth and Ace Combat 6 is the only game with the difficulty Aces of Aces (from Xbox Live marketplace).
