The Fuel Air Explosion Bomb (abbreviated FAEB) is an air-to-ground weapon featured in most Ace Combat games from Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies onwards. As evidenced by its name, it is a thermobaric weapon that spreads a highly flammable fuel over the impact area, which is ignited in a massive fireball upon impact.

Ace Combat 04: Shattered SkiesEdit

The FAEB is available exclusively to the F-15 ACTIVE for $286,000. The weapon is useful for taking out entire clusters of lightly armored targets, such as AA guns and tanks, since ground targets are present in larger groups than in future games. It's usefulness, however, is offset by the fact that the F-15 ACTIVE is limited to 8 FAEBs.

Ace Combat 5: The Unsung WarEdit

It is exclusive to the YA-10B, which carries 14 bombs.

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan WarEdit

The Zero incarnation of the FAEB is no longer bound to a single aircraft. It is one of the weapons available to A-10A, X-29A, F-15S/MTD, Su-37 and ADF-01 FALKEN.

The FAEB in AC6 returns once again as an exclusive weapon of A-10A

Ace Combat X: Skies of DeceptionEdit

The Fuel-Air Explosive Bomb is first made available with the A-10A Thunderbolt II, which carries 10 bombs for $8,400. It is also one of the weapons compatible with the ADF-01 the YR-302 Fregata, the Su-37 Terminator and X-29A. It's large blast radius helps in missions heavy with ground targets, such as "Striking Point" and "Break In".

Ace Combat: Joint AssaultEdit

The FAEB in Ace Combat: Joint Assault is virtually identical to its Skies of Deception incarnation in regards to compatible aircraft, with the notable exception of the F6F-5 Hellcat.
