The Il-76 Candid is a four-engined transport aircraft manufactured by the Russian Ilyushin bureau.

Ace Combat: Assault HorizonEdit

The Il-76 Candid is a new transport aircraft introduced in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. It is one of the few transport planes featured in the game, the other two being the C-130 Hercules and the An-12 Cub.

In the single-player campaign, the Il-76 is prominently featured in the mission "Siege", in which a pro-government unit called "Sova" prepares to deliver supplies to Belyi Base as it comes under a heavy New Russian Federation assault. As it is completely unarmed, Sova depends entirely on Warwolf Squadron for support, and will fall victim to NRF aircraft if not aided quickly.

The Candid also makes a minor appearance in the introduction of the level "Pipeline", which depicts a burning transport destroyed by a Trinity explosion.
