The Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile (abbreviated as SAM and later XSAM from Ace Combat 6 onwards) is an anti-air weapon designed to fulfill defensive roles. It features various improvements over the Surface-to-Air Missile, such as increased accuracy and damage.
XSAMs have appeared in nearly every Ace Combat game.
