Marcus Snow (マーカススノー Mākasu Sunō) was a pilot of the Osean Maritime Defense Force, and the leader of the VFA-206 "Shorebirds", a squadron stationed on the aircraft carrier OFS Kestrel.
Biography
Edit
His early life is mainly unknown, but it is known that he has served in the Osean military for a great number of years, possibly even as far back as the Belkan War, eventually being assigned to the OFS Kestrel of the 3rd Osean Naval Fleet and being promoted to Captain. After his promotion, he was placed in charge of the Shorebirds as the CAG (Commander Air Group) of the Kestrel.
During the defense of Port St. Hewlett, Snow fought primarily in the eastern sector, and then unofficially became the commander of the air defense effort after the fleet escaped the port. After the attack, the 3rd Naval Fleet escaped the port and proceeded to rendezvous with the OFS Vulture and the OFS Buzzard at the inland sea.
During that operation, Snow served valiantly in protecting the carriers, but it was all in vain, as they were destroyed by burst-missiles from the Yuktobanian submarine Scinfaxi. Afterward, Snow departs from the main story line, heading VFA-206 in battles against Yuktobanian forces until his entire unit was shot down and KIA.
On December 7th, 2010, Snow was ordered by Captain Andersen to fake the deaths of the 108th Tactical Fighter Squadron “Wardog”, who were accused of being spies. After flying past them, Snow sent the Wardog squadron a message using morse code, telling them to bail out while he shot down their planes.

Added by Sgt.johnsonOn December 9th, 2010, VFA-206 was dissolved and he was merged with the 108th Tactical Fighter Squadron to become the Razgriz Air Command Squadron, also known as the “Ghosts of Razgriz” as pilot #3 even though he had the highest rank (Naval Captain is a higher rank than Air Force Captain, though it is possible that Pres. Harling promoted Blaze beyond this rank)[Note 1]. They became President Vincent Harling’s personal air squadron after his rescue from Stier Castle. Snow later appeared as Blaze was making his escape from a reconnaissance mission along with the other two members of the Razgriz. Then, the Razgriz attacked Mount Schrim’s facilities, burying the nuclear weapons contained within.
During Operation: Riverbed, Snow and the rest of the Razgriz decimated several Special Forces units, including helicopters, gunboats, and even the elite Ofnir Squadron while guarding members of the Yuktobanian Resistance attempting to dismantle a nuclear device. He became jumpy during the mission however, every time one of the resistance members mentioned the weapon.
Later on, the Razgriz attacked the Arkbird, and sent it burning into the Ceres Ocean. Soon after, an encrypted message came in from the former Captain Bartlett. He was in the resistance, along with Prime Minister Nikanor, leader of Yuktobania. The Razgriz were dispatched to cover their escape, and they shot down the Grabacr Squadron, though they ejected.
After fighting off Osean and Yuktobanian naval units during Operation: Glory Horn, Razgriz proceeded to Sudentor and attacked Grunder Industries’ headquarters. The whole squadron flew through a small tunnel, eventually destroying the core. Afterwards, they destroyed the SOLG, bringing the Circum-Pacific War and the Belkan Conflict to an end.
Like his wingmates, he too disappeared after the end of the Circum-Pacific War.
Notes
Edit
- ↑ This is due to a translation hiccup - his rank in the Japanese version is Tai-ai, which is a Naval Lieutenant, and equivalent to an Air Force Captain.
