Summary
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon is the first console Ace Combat game that takes place in the real world. It utilized a new physics engine which allowed for detailed plane destruction, and it also utilized a new gameplay feature known as Close Range Assault, allowing for up-close action in both dogfights and ground assault (known as Dogfight Mode and Air Strike Mode, respectively).
Assault Horizon was the first Ace Combat game to release on the PlayStation 3 and the Ouya, and remains the only Ace Combat game to release on the PC. It also released on the Xbox 360, joining Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation on that platform.Videos
