Release is the 11th track of Disc 3 of the Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Original Soundtrack, composed by Keiki Kobayashi and performed by the Northwest Sinfonia. It is used as background music for the first part of Akula, and repraises after Trinity is launched. It is also the background music for Washington D.C in multiplayer.
Featured in the E3 2011 Cinematic Trailer, Release involves an epic orchestral arrangement, featuring a female/male Latin chorus towards the end.
The lyrics are taken from a Medieval religious Latin poem, "Dies Irae", or "Day of Wrath".
