Rising High is mission #8A of Ace Combat 2. Its "B" counterpart is Cuckoo's Nest. If this mission is performed, then Cuckoo's Nest cannot be played in this playthrough.

Government satellital recon has detected the presence what seems to be a high-altitude bomber unit en route to a target. The satellite sweep also detected a group of unknown aircraft flying alongside the aforementioned targets. The player's mission is to intercept & destroy the aircraft before they leave the mission area.

We have also discovered some unidentified aircraft not found in our data. No further details are known. We want you to pursue and eliminate the targets.
