olmaster (アイドルマスター Aidorumasutā), often written as THE iDOLM@STER is a simulation game released by Namco Bandai for arcades in 2005, and later ported to Xbox 360 in 2007. The game follows the story of the player character, a new producer in the fictional music studio "765 Production", and his career as the manager of a group of Japanese musical idols over a year-long timespan.

Ace CombatEdit

THE iDOLM@STER first gained notoriety in the Western market through Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. Starting with Pack 02 in November 2007, Namco Bandai began releasing new aircraft paint schemes at the Xbox Marketplace. Below are the iM@S characters featured in Ace Combat 6, in order of respective aircraft release.

CharactersEdit

Miki Hoshii: a young idol who approaches every situation with a laid back attitude because of her family. Represented by the Su-33 Flanker -THE iDOLM@STER: Miki- and Su-47 Berkut -THE iDOLM@STER: Miki-EX-.

Yukiho Hagiwara: a timid, cowardly girl who seeks to become an idol to shed her fearful disposition. Represented by the F-117A Nighthawk -THE iDOLM@STER: Yukiho-.

Chihaya Kisaragi: an idol with a calm, professional and mature attitude, she has the greatest enthusiasm towards music of all characters, but has problems communicating with other people. Represented by the F-15E Strike Eagle -THE iDOLM@STER: Chihaya-.

Haruka Amami: the so-called "heroine" and main character of the game, she is an upbeat, motivated and hard-working girl, although somehwat of an inept cook and clumsy. Represented by the F-22A Raptor -THE iDOLM@STER: Haruka-.

Yayoi Takatsuki: a bright and positive girl coming from a poor family, she often does all kinds of odd jobs at 765 Production to gain extra money. Represented by the Mirage 2000-5 -THE iDOLM@STER: Yayoi-.

Iori Minase: the daughter of an associate of 765 Production's president, she is a spoiled girl who is refined and polite on stage, but is of a sharp tongue, flaunts about her family's wealthiness and berates other for her intelligence. Represented by the Rafale M -THE iDOLM@STER: Iori-.

Mami Futami: the sister of Ami Futami, she is impossible to tell from her sister, apart from her hairstyle. Because of this, she often poses on stage under the guise of Ami's persona, leaving the public none the wiser. Represented by the F-16C Fighting Falcon -THE iDOLM@STER: Mami-.

Ami Futami: sister to Mami, she is virtually identical to her sister; both use this to their advantage by posing as a single idol under Ami's name, a secret known only to their closest friends at 765. Represented by the F-2A Viper Zero -THE iDOLM@STER: Ami-.

Azusa Miura: the oldest idol at the age of 20, she is a "big sister" type, and has a carefree personality, but an awful sense of direction. F-14D Super Tomcat -THE iDOLM@STER: Azusa-.

Ritsuko Akizuki: originally an intern working at 765, she became an idol because of the lack of participating girls. She is of a cool demeanor, and has a very business-type personality. Represented by the F/A-18F Super Hornet -THE IDOLM@STER: Ritsuko-.

Makoto Kikuchi: a girl with a tomboyish appearance but is of honest and sensitive attitude, she decided to become an idol to prove that she can have a girly attitude. Represented by the EF-2000 Typhoon -THE IDOLM@STER: Makoto-.
