The Twinkle Islands are an island chain located in the western Usean Continent, off the coast of the Federal Republic of Erusea. The only island chain in the region, the Twinkle lslands are surrounded by the Spring Sea, which covers the boundaries of the Usean and Osean Continent.

HistoryEdit

Usean Rebellion (Op. Gambit)Edit

In 1998 (estimated), at the beginning of the campaign to combat the Usean Rebellion, the allied Usean Forces began to move equipment into forward deployed positions against the Usean Rebels. An allied Usean Aircraft Carrier was en route to the Twinkle Islands. As it came into visual range of the Twinkle Island Airbase and Naval Station, Usean rebel bombers and their escorts began to attack the facility. Scarface One, also going to the Twinkle Islands, engaged the strike group and destroyed the rebel forces. This was the opening battle of the Usean Rebellion.

Usean Continental War - (Op. Judgment Day)Edit

On September 26, 2005, the Mobius Squadron (ISAF Air Force, 118th Tactical Fighter Wing) was sent to the region to destroy Megalith, a fortress designed to destroy fragments of the Ulysses 1994XF04 Asteroid. The Mobius Squadron, lead by the top Independent State Allied Forces Ace 'Mobius One', just recently had a part in taking the Erusean capital city, Farbanti. While heading towards the base, the remnants of Aquila, or Yellow Squadron (Federal Erusean Air Force, 156th Tactical Fighter Squadron) formed up to counter Mobius. It led to an air battle between the best of their countries, and in the end, the Yellow Squadron was destroyed by the ISAF Forces. Mobius One was able to destroy the power generators to gain entry to the facility. He destroyed the ICBMs inside and disabled Megalith. Whether the ICBMs in the main ports or external launchers were nuclear has never been confirmed as such, but they are believed to be.

• In Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy the area used for the Twinkle Islands in the first mission is reused in mission 12 Seagull, as you can find the Allied Forces' base in mission 12.
