The U-2 Dragon Lady is a reconnaissance aircraft developed by Lockheed Martin. A twin engine aircraft, it was designed during the early years of the Cold War to conduct aerial reconnaissance of the Soviet Union in order to replace other recon aircraft, which were primarily converted bombers. It is capable of conducting operations at very high altitudes, estimated to be 70,000 ft.

Ace Combat 04: Shattered SkiesEdit

The U-2 makes its only appearance in the mission "Safe Return". In this mission, the player must escort an ISAF U-2, named Leopard, as it sees itself forced to fly through Gnome Ravine after suffering battle damage. Outside this mission, no other Dragon Ladies are seen in the game.

Ace Combat X: Skies of DeceptionEdit

U-2 Dragon Lady aircraft are used by the Leasath Air Force. The first aircraft is encountered in mission #8A, "Striking Point", where it appears as the level's star unit, spawning at the southwest after the conditions are fulfilled. A second Dragon Lady can be found in mission #15B, "End of Deception II", sharing the same star unit role as its predecessor. It is located within Archelon Fortress, parked in a side tunnel in the ending part of the mission alongside a group of prototype Fenrir.

Destroying the first U-2 will unlock the "Hawk Eye" cockpit part, while destroying the second will unlock the "Fenrir ECMS" part.

Ace Combat: Joint AssaultEdit

In Ace Combat: Joint Assault, the U-2 is a minor aircraft operated by the Valahia. The U-2 makes its sole appearance as the ace unit of mission #08.
