UAZ (УАЗ) is an initialism for Ulyanovsky Avtomobilny Zavod (Ульяновский Автомобильный Завод, which translates to "Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant") is an automobile manufacturer based in Ulyanovsk, Russia which manufactures off-road vehicles, buses and trucks. It is best known for its Model 469 jeep, which has seen wide use as a military vehicle in the Eastern Block and around the world. The UAZ factory started production in 1941 as part of the Soviet war effort

UAZ-31514 is a passenger road vehicle (suv) for use on roads of all categories, as well as cross country. Is a civilian version of the military model UAZ-469 (UAZ-3151), and later changed it to the conveyor. A metal roof instead of tilt. Produced from 1985 to 2002.
