Cerberus Squadron was originally formed by the EASA (Erusean Air and Space Administration) in late 1995 after the Belkan war ended to demonstrate new experimental aircraft to the public and test new aircraft technologies. However, the squadron broke away in 1998 due to the Usean Rebellion to fight for the Allied forces as a mercenary flight under the same command as Scarface Squadron. It later saw action in the USEAN continental war of 2004 under ISAF, and gave support to Mobius 1 during operation Katina.

Various reports state that the squadron was also involved in the Circum Pacific war, and was in Gracemaria giving a demonstration when it was invaded in 2015.

It is made up of 3 fighters (dubbed the "3 hounds of hell" in the Continental war) to mimic the legendary 3 headed cerberus.

Cerberus Team's main aircraft was the YF-22 until the middle of the Usean Rebellion when they acquired F/A-22's, however this changes often based on the mission profile. Until 2005, the Squadron was seen flying anything from F-14's for carrier ops to A-10s for ground attack.
