Greetings, blog dweller. Are you an Ace Combat player? Ever wanna know the wars happened before the years the asteroid reached Strangereal? Wanna have a complete guide to the lives of the aces? Fret not, here's a guide to playing the series in chronological order.

1. AC: Northern Wings and Advance are excluded from the guide because of its "Behind the Curtain" missions from the connecting canon.

2. Ace Combat on the Earth continuity is excluded for obvious reasons.

3. Since Zero and Air Combat's setting is of the same year, I'll assume that the after the events of Operation: Broom, during those 6 months, the plot of AC1 begins.

4. Emulators are acceptable.

Consoles Needed:

Playstation 1

Xbox 360

Nintendo 3DS

Games needed:

Air Combat

Ace Combat 2/Assault Horizon Legacy

3: Electrosphere

04: Shattered Skies

5: The Unsung War

Zero: The Belkan War

X: Skies of Deception

6: Fires of Liberation

Chapter 1: Prelude to destruction: Before Ulysees 1994XF04:

Games included:

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War

Air Combat

Ace Combat 2/Assault Horizon Legacy

Playstations 1 and 2

Nintendo 3DS

First off, pop in Zero to the PS2 and play until Mission 14. From there, stop AC Zero for a while,F play and finish Air Combat, then continue through the rest of Zero. Then rest the PS2 for a while, plug in the PS1 or play in the 3DS, and finish off AC2/AHL. You may wanna play AC2 in Hard to get the true ending.

TL;DR Version:

Zero: Belkan War(Missions 1-14)>Air Combat>Zero: Belkan War(15-18)>Ace Combat 2

Chapter 2: Post-Ulysees Disaster: A Crumbling World Order

Games included:

AC04: Shattered Skies

AC5: Unsung War

AC6: Fires of Liberation

Playstation 2

Xbox 360

This one is pretty much straightforward. Play Shattered skies, finish, Pop in Unsung War, play the Arcade(Operation Katina) to end the Mobius One arc, continue through the rest of Unsung War, power up the 360 and play Fires of Liberation to the end.

Shattered Skies>AC5 Arcade Mode>Unsung War>Fires of Liberation

Chapter 3: To the future

Games included:

ACX: Skies of Deception

AC3: Electrosphere (JP Version)

Playstation Portable

Playstation 1

Another straightforward chronological setting: Grab your PSP, play Skies of Deception. Then Pop in the PS1, play Electrosphere and---

Make sure to end Electrosphere under GR's Geopelia Ending.

ACX: Skies of Deception>AC3: Electrosphere JP

And there you have it, the Ace Combat series in Chronological order.
