The Valahia is a terrorist organization, and the main opposing faction in the storyline of Ace Combat X2: Joint Assault. The motive of Valahia was to establish a new communist nation. While the origins of the Valahia are unknown, it is presumed that it was established by remnants of old communist regimes from European countries that collapsed after the Cold War with Nicolae Dumitrescu as its Valahia's leader,Nicolae Dumitrescu
leader. The Valahia first appeared when one of their task forces flew over Midway Island to attack Tokyo, engaging Martinez Security'sAntares Squadron and Rigel Squadron, the USN's 7th Fleet, and the JMSDF stationed there. The Valahia then commenced their raid on Tokyo, revealing and demonstrating their airborne fortress, the Spiridus. This aiborne superweapon used its Balaur railgun to destroy a portion of Tokyo Habor before engaging the JSDF. The Spiridus and it's escorts were able to give the JSDF trouble until Antares and Rigel arrived. Antares stripped the fortress of its AA guns and disabled the Balaur. Thus, the Spiridus retreated while Martinez and the SDF mopped up its escorts. The Valahia made itself known to the world and simultaneously launched a second attack on Tokyo from the north and south. Antares and Rigel assisted the Japanese aerial and ground defenders in holding their ground in the south, but were recalled to Tokyo to engage the northern invaders. During the second raid, the Valahia revealed another Andre Olivieri who funded Valahia and the IUPF
airborne fortress, the Orgoi, which was yet smaller than the Spiridus. Antares engaged the Orgoi and its AA guns, but the Orgoi demonstrated fighter-like maneuverability later in the fight, to the shock of the Martinez fighters. The Valahia were forced to withdraw once more, losing the Orgoi over the harbor. However, Rigel Balaur electromagnetic railgun, similar to the Chandelier of Estovakia
Squadron decided to defect to their side, under Dumitrescu's persuasion of squad leader, Milosz Sulejmani. The Valahia then commenced operations in the middle east, kidnapping Mr. Lebianc, an IIAO (International Insurance Auditing Committee) Officer and the Balkans, setting-up jammer stations to disrupt operations in the Anatolia area. They were, however, defeated by the IUPF.The Valahia then proceeded to attack London, using the Spiridus in-hiding once more. The Antares appeared again under orders from the IUPF, only this time the PMC aces inflicted serious damage to the fortress, dumping the behemoth into the Thames. Shortly after the London raid, Nicolae Dumitrescu revealed the organization's intention to establish a new nation in the name of communism. The Valahia had managed to bring a decommissioned Soviet Union underground nuclear missile base under control and activate several nuclear ICBMs to nuke Europe and North America. The IUPF fought its way through Valahia's Serbian radars and the Balaur railgun in southern Romania to put a stop to the nuclear launch. As the IUPF approached the base, Rigel Squadron, now the Varcolac Squadron engaged Antares Squadron a third time, only to be shot Varcolac Squadron
down in the process. However, there was little time for the IUPF to disable the missiles. Antares then flew into the base to stop the launch. It was then revealed by Dumitrescu that the IUPF and Valahia were just pawns for the Golden Axe Plan, headed by the funder of both organizations, Andre Olivieri. Antares then destroyed the base's control facility, stopping the launch and killing Dumitrescu and the Valahia leaders, putting an end to the organization.
